36 Heavy Air Defence Regiment Royal Artillery disbanded in 1977
making this year the 31st anniversary.
The Reunion dates this year are Friday 19th September to Sunday 21st September 2008.
It is that time of year where I have to ask those of you who are Yearly Members to send me £5 for your annual subscription;
alternatively you may wish to pay a life membership at a cost of £25. Due to the prohibitive costs, As I pointed out last year
I shall no longer be sending letters to members who do not pay any subscription. It would be a shame to lose contact
with Reunion Members, but I am sure you will understand my reasoning.
The hotel is still going through a period of regeneration, but there are noticeable changes, which I hope will benefit us all.
I can assure you that, together with the hotel, we are trying to do the best for you all and to provide you with a very memorable weekend.
Even with the high prices we are sll seeing in the shops at the moment I have managed to keep the prices the same as last year.
The cost of the evening, this year will be £28 per person and, the marquee has also been booked, again, for the dinner as this holds up to 160 seated.
The disco will end at 1.00am giving us all a chance to have a bop around the floor!
A price of £68 per twin/double room or £60 per single room has been negotiated, however, you will need to
contact the hotel, direct, to reserve your room.

Please may I urge you all, to bring something for the raffle, which helps make up the shortfall of additional
costs for the evening and, is often a source of good humour and entertainment.
There are still a number of Regimental Ties at a cost of £10 and plaques at a cost of £20 for sale.

Reunion History
2001 Reunion
This was the last Reunion to be held at the University of East Anglia in Norwich.
This was also the last Reunion that Jan Greenland organised. Jan, and Brian before
her have done a fantastic job in running the Reunions for the previous 17 years,
we all owe them both a great debt of gratitude.

Stand by your Beds!
2002 Reunion
This was the first Reunion that Paul Barber and myself organised.
The 2002 and 18th 36 Regiment Reunion was held at the Marlborough Hotel, Felixstowe
over the weekend the 27th-28th September, (Friday/Saturday).
Many arrived on the Friday and enjoyed a great night meeting their old friends,
and making new one's. It was very late to bed for many of us. Saturday was a
lovely sunny day, even the one's with sore heads from the night before made Breakfast.
The day was spent at leisure in Felixstowe.
Saturday evening saw the main Reunion Dinner, the Hotel really pulled out all the stops with
a fantastic meal and hospitality, we are very grateful to them. A special presentation was
made to the Hotel and to Dominic Sciberras who traveled all the way from
Australia to be with us, a great guy.
Again a brilliant night was had by all, and for some of us well into the early hours.
Paul and myself thank you all who attended to make the weekend special.
The Hotel is run by Col Harry Mann (ex Indian Artillery).

The 21st 36 Regiment Reunion
23rd - 24th September 2005
The Regiment Comes Home
The 2005 Reunion was held at The Essex County Hotel, Southend on Sea.
 |
At 12 noon on Saturday 24th September we paid a visit to Horseshoe Barracks in association with Gladedale Homes
to see the Re-Development of the Garrison, and we would like to thank Debbie Gallier for her time and effort on our behalf.
This was followed by a visit to The Civic House and Mayors Parlour at 14.00hrs.
