Welcome to The Shoeburyness Branch of the Royal Artillery Association.

On this Website we aim to provide up to date News and Events for our Branch.

The Shoeburyness Branch is one of the largest in the country having about 200 members.
Shoeburyness is one of the foremost Gunner towns because of the many years during
which the Royal Artillery School of Gunnery, the Proof and Experimental Establishment
and serving Regiments were the backbone of this area of Essex.

Please use this site to find out more about the R.A.A., and to learn more about
our Branch and the area of Shoeburyness.

The Royal Artillery Association is the Regimental Association of the Royal Regiment of Artillery.
It was set up in 1920, with the Monarch as its Patron, to provide a network of Branches throughout
the country to look after the needs of Gunners and their Families, especially those who fall on hard
times and to provide opportunities for Gunners to meet to enjoy social events.

ims? Its aims, quite simply, are the promotion of Gunner welfare and comeradeship; aims
which are as relevant today as when they were first laid down.
